One of the most memorable moments over the last few years is surely the night AJ Styles finally made his WWE debut, as he was the third entrant in the Royal Rumble and put on a solid showing.
AJ Styles explains whether he was treated like an outsider when he joined WWE

AJStyles comments on the Locker Room atmosphere when he first signed with WWE

"So I've been with WWE for about a year and a half already.

I'll be honest I was scared when I first signed because for over a decade I was always a rival to the company, whether I was in TNA, NJPW or ROH. I was totally wrong.

The locker room welcomed me pretty quickly, some of the people I've worked with and others would tell me that they've been a fan of me for years"

"Samoa Joe & Charlotte were the first 2 people to really make me feel at home.

Joe because we've worked together for years and have been friends and Charlotte who I've also known for years and getting to work with her Dad Ric Flair.

People might say I'm a bandwagon because I work for them now, but WWE is honestly the best place I've ever worked for and that's saying a lot considering I've worked with amazing staff and talent for 10+ years"

Renee Young and Dean Ambrose Secretly Got Married

During Monday's WWE Raw viewers noticed that Dean Ambrose, who just joined the brand after coming over from SmackDown Live in the "Superstar Shakeup" storyline, and Renee Young, who is still a SmackDown Live Interviewer, were each wearing wedding rings.

This sent social media into a frenzy of speculation that pair, who have been dating long-term got married.

We can confirm that it's TRUE! Ambrose and Young secretly got married. Young confirmed the news on her Twitter on Wednesday morning:

Floyd Mayweather v Conor McGregor ‘confirmed’, set to fight on June 10

After months and months of rumours, verbal sparring, Instagram wars and #fakenews, it seems that a mega-money fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor is about to happen.

The current UFC middleweight king says McGregor not only stands to make a ridiculous amount of money by taking the Mayweather fight, but that he has a legitimate chance of beating the undefeated boxer. ... Conor has that big left hand, he's got power,” Bisping said. “The fight is boxing so you never know.

McGregor, the reigning UFC lightweight champion, has been pushing the retired, unbeaten American for months, and the fight seemingly took one more step to becoming a reality last weekend when Mayweather said he was officially returning to boxing.

And now it appears a date and venue has been set for the proposed ‘billion-dollar fight’.
MMA insider Front Row Brian revealed on Twitter that the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas has been reserved for an event on June 10.

Obviously that tweet sent the boxing and UFC world into meltdown, so Front Row Brian was quick to state that the reservation didn’t necessarily mean that the two had agreed to fight each other.

If the fight does happen, it is reported that the pair will pocket $100 million each, though in reality McGregor will have to settle for less and hand his UFC bosses a slice of the pie.

R.I.P. William James "Jim" Myers (April 16, 1937 - February 16, 2017), better known by his ring name George "The Animal" Steele, was an American professional wrestler, school teacher, author and actor. Steele's career lasted from 1967 until 1988, though he made occasional wrestling appearances into the 1990s and 2000s.
George "The Animal" Steele passes away

More sad news from the world of pro wrestling today as Jim Myers, better known as WWE Hall of Famer George ‘The Animal’ Steele, has reportedly passed away at age 79.

The news of Steele’s condition was first shared on Eric Simms of ESS Promotions’ Facebook page, and an update on Thursday evening mentioned that the WWF legend had been moved to hospice care. On Friday, both he and Hulk Hogan first tweeted news of Steele’s passing, as well as a family friend who posted on Facebook. The news was later confirmed by WWE.

Debuting way back in 1967, George Steele gained notoriety and popularity as “The Animal,” a hairy, green-tongued human monster that ate turnbuckle pads, became infatuated with female valets like Miss Elizabeth, and carried around a bald My Pet Monster that looked like him. His highest profile matches included challenging ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 2, as well as being ring-side for one of the greatest matches of all-time, Savage vs. Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat at WrestleMania 3.

Despite retiring in 1988 and being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1995, Steele’s career continued throughout the 90s and well into the 2000s. The Animal teamed with Taka Michinoku (of all people) on a 1997 episode of Raw, returned as part of The Oddities in 1998, and even competed in a match against Jeff Jarrett on WCW Monday Nitro in 2000. His most recent appearance on WWE TV happened in 2010, when he showed up to “Old School Raw” and helped Kofi Kingston defeat David Otunga.

Steele was a true star of pop culture, becoming a reference on Seinfeld (to explain one of Jerry’s girlfriends’ “man hands”) and appearing as wrestler-turned-actor Tor Johnson in Tim Burton’s Ed Wood. The Animal will certainly be missed. If you aren’t familiar with his work, we’ve included a few choice videos to show you how important a man can be by eating some green food coloring and pretending to eat foam padding. Rest in power, Animal.

Bray Wyatt wins first WWE Title inside the Elimination Chamber

WWE Champion Wyatt set to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania

Bray Wyatt is poised for a WrestleMania 33 showdown against Wyatt Family stablemate Randy Orton after winning the WWE Title inside the Elimination Chamber on Sunday night.

John Cena lost the WWE Title to Bray Wyatt inside the Eliimnation Chamber

Wyatt overcame pre-match champion John Cena as well as AJ Styles, The Miz, Dean Ambrose and Baron Corbin to claim his maiden world title.

The Eater of Worlds - who lastly pinned Styles to secure his victory - should now defend the belt against Royal Rumble winner Orton at WWE's premier show in Orlando on April 2.

Orton has been an ally of Wyatt's since joining his faction last autumn, with the pair holding the Smackdown Tag Titles for a brief period in December.

But with Orton - who beat Luke Harper at Elimination Chamber - and Wyatt now set to meet at WrestleMania, their relationship could become strained, something that was teased during a post-match staredown.

Story of the Chamber

Wyatt, who entered his inaugural Elimination Chamber Match as the fourth participant, was joined in the final three by Cena and Styles, the two men who had kicked off the bout.

Cena finished third in the Chamber Match

The Eater of Worlds dispatched Cena after countering an Attitude Adjustment into a Sister Abigail, ending The Cenation Leader's 16th world-championship reign at 14 days.

Wyatt then planted Styles - who had lost the WWE Title to Cena at the Royal Rumble on January 29 - with a match-winning Sister Abigail after catching the high-flyer's Phenomenal Forearm attempt.

Corbin was the first man eliminated, caught in a roll-up pin by Intercontinental Champion Ambrose as he paused and waited for the final entrant, The Miz, to emerge from his glass pod.

Dean Ambrose is punished by Baron Corbin

The Lone Wolf took his departure angrily, cracking Ambrose through a pod and nailing him with End of Days, allowing The Miz to cover The Lunatic Fringe for a simple pin.

The Miz was then defeated following a Cena Attitude Adjustment during a match in which Cena performed a diving crossbody onto Wyatt and Styles from the top of a pod.

Orton edges Harper; Ziggler turns nasty

Orton picked up a victory in Phoenix but was made to work incredibly hard for it by former Wyatt Family comrade Harper - the Viper blasted with two superkicks before hitting an RKO.

Luke Harper gave Randy Orton a tough test

Harper proved he has agility as well as size, by planting the 12-time world champion with a suicide dive and a sparkling Senton Atomico.

Dolph Ziggler, meanwhile, displayed his new-found nasty streak before and after he lost to Apollo Crews and Kalisto in a two-on-one handicap match.

The Show-Off ambushed Kalisto prior to the match starting and then wounded Crews' ankle with a steel chair after the former NXT powerhouse had beaten him with a spin-out powerbomb.

Plus, American Alpha retained the Smackdown Tag Team Titles during a Tag Team Turmoil Match against The Ascension, The Usos, The Vaudevillains, Breezango and Heath Slater and Rhyno.

Randy Orton Reportedly Has Altercation With Fan At A Gym On Monday
Fan has altercation with WWE star Randy Orton ‘outta nowhere’ in Jonesboro

NEA Report out of Northeast Arkansas has a story about an altercation Randy Orton had with a fan at a gym before last night's SmackDown live event in Jonesboro.

Local business professional Anthony Martin, who grew up a wrestling fan, noted that he was with his friends at The Trim Gym when they spotted Orton.

Martin asked Orton for a picture, however Orton responded with a fist bump and pointed to his ear phones and said that he couldn't hear Martin.

Martin left Orton alone and proceeded to take a photo of him from across the room, which caused Orton to lose his cool.

"He saw me snap the picture and came up to me got in my face and said, 'What the f**k are you doing? I said no **ddamn pictures! Are you f**king stupid?'" Martin said. "I said, 'No. You said you couldn't hear me."

"Randy came over to Anthony, grabbed his hand and was belittling Anthony and pretty much was saying m'fer this, m'fer that," added Martin's friend Cody Halstead, who was with him at the gym.
